Visual Ventures Updates!

Well it has been a very busy year for us here at Visual Ventures.  Although I have not had as much time as I would like to update the blog, please let me tell you what has been happening.

We were notified that we we were selected as One of the Best for the Knot Magazine for 2008.  Just two weeks ago, I was notified that we won the honor again for the upcoming 2009 magazine as well!

Our friends at Red Feather Video and I decided to merge forces and expand Visual Ventures.  This brings us to three full crews!!

We migrated our editing services from over to the Mac platform which has already shown us vast amounts of quality improvement in the final DVDs we create.  

Over the past 2 years I have expanded our DVD production capabilities to the point that we now can create around 150 DVDs/hour.  This has attracted some attention from area businesses and so we now offer DVD duplication services to new clients.

I have been working on training one of my team members to also edit for us.  This will allow us to have a faster turn-around time on edits!  You should see the benefits of this in the second part of 2009.

I am getting ready to roll out our new website in the next couple of weeks.  The website will match the look of our new marketing materials that we released at the Washington Bridal Showcase in September.

Well, that is about it for the summary of the Visual Ventures happenings.  I hope to post more frequently on the blog as I lunch the new site.  Be on the lookout for more videos soon!!!!

Karen & Dave's Winter Introduction

Karen & Dave had a beautiful wedding at Raspberry Plain in Leesburg, VA.  Their wedding had a mix of both American culture as well as Chinese.  I also had the pleasure to work with Ron Jones and R&R Catering again!

Back from Bermuda!

I'm back from my first international destination wedding.  What a trip.  I spent 3-1/2 days with Ashley and Charles as well as their family and friends.  One moment I am zipping along a golf course filming the guys playing golf; next I am filming a wonderful ladies brunch.  The ceremony location overlooked the ocean in Southampton, Bermuda and then there was a great reception back at the hotel.  They will have great luck in their future thanks to a brief shower in the middle of the ceremony.  But, the end result was a beautiful rainbow that overlooked the 2nd half of their ceremony!!!

Visual Ventures is going International!

That's right... we will be filming our first international destination wedding next weekend!  This is very exciting and I am sure filming overlooking the ocean will be a blast.  Of course, between Nov. 9-12, we will not be able to communicate as easily as we would like.  The best way to contact us during that time is email.
